COWERKS
Cowerks offers private offices, private desks, meeting rooms, and event space at multiple locations across New Jersey. During the summer of 2020 I was the lead designer for a custom Squarespace site to coincide with the grand-opening of their third location. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, like many companies, Cowerk’s had to shift their business model and needed their marketing efforts to focus on private offices, making my main goal to find a creative but also organized way to display 50+ individual offices within the site.
To accompany their wide body of photographs I decided to hand draw the exterior of each location to use as icons, and illustrated maps of the downtowns in which the buildings are located. The maps include local restaurants, retail stores, and entertainment venues to help show the possible tenant all the town has to offer.
Across all of their locations the company strives to foster a green thumb, filling their spaces with an abundance of vibrant green plants. I used that green as an accent throughout the site to accompany the otherwise very clean black and white palette. In addition to the new office index pages, I also helped with copywriting, suggesting a story telling type of tone for the office descriptions to help the viewer picture what they can accomplish in their new office.
