Bell Works
In 2020 I was the lead designer on a custom Wordpress site for Bell Works, a new type of destination developed by Somerset Development that brings the draw of urban living into one building. With two locations, one in New Jersey and one in Chicago these buildings combine world-class workspaces, curated dining options, one-of-a-kind retail experiences, weekly events for the community and much more. It was my job to take their existing brand identity and create an entirely new web experience.
Because there were so many different subjects that needed to be covered on the new website I decided to implement the use of sliders to reduce the amount of vertical scrolling but also to introduce an interesting interactive element to the site. Throughout the site there are over 20 sliders, some just with photos, others with retailers hours, and some with information about the buildings and what they have to offer.
Bell Works has a strong visual identity that includes modern concepts, bold colors, bright and airy photography, and more. It was especially exciting to approach this project with a focus on how to make the visual layout unique. Offset images, circuit progress bars, and unique sliders were all concepts to help drive the fact that these building are unlike any other.
